 Exhibition Collector: October 5, 2011 - January 1, 2012
The National Centre for the Visual Arts (CNAP) and lille3000 have joined for the first time to present an exhibition inspired by the CNAP's collections. It brings together a large selection of artwork by both French and international artists of the past 40 years.

 Christmas Market: 19 November - 30 December 2011
In the heart of winter, Lille sparkles and glows with joie de vivre! With the wave of a magic wand, the city takes on a festive atmosphere and welcomes you to a winter wonderland. On Place Rihour, 80 wooden chalets teem with gift ideas, nativity figurines, Christmas decorations and festive food. You can find regional specialities here, and you can also find arts and crafts from Russia, Canada and Poland! And that's not to forget the gingerbread and other delicacies, which you can take away or eat on the spot with a glass of mulled wine... The Christmas Market is open every day (except on December 25) on Rihour Square.
On the Grand Place, amidst the sumptuous decorations dominated by an 18-metre high Christmas Tree, and as Christmas carols fill the air, the Big Wheel turns majestically. Its height of 50 metres ensure guests have a stunning view of the city.

After lille2004 European Capital of Culture, lille3000 presents its next big event: Fantastic 2012: Opening Parades, Urban Metamorphoses, Exhibitions and Events...
The visitor exploring Lille and its surrounding areas will be confronted with the supernatural, the wondrous and the strange. People will rub their eyes at the turn of a corner or when opening the doors of the Tripostal, the Gare Saint Sauveur, the maisons Folie and other flagship cultural venues in the Eurodistrict.
The Elephants of Bombaysers de Lille and the Angels & Demons of Europe XXL will give way to new and ever more daring installations that will transform Lille.
With more than 700 events, the city will be steeped in excess, the supernatural will take over the urban space, creating surprise but also a disquieting sense of the strange.
