 Flanders battefields coach tour Lille - Ieper - Lille
Some of the most important battles of the WWI took place around Ieper.
This tour is designed to save you the hassle of getting by train or taxi to Ieper and give you an overview of the Ieper Salient 1914-18.
You'll discover the main sites surrounding Ieper : battlefields in Messines aera, monuments, memorials, cemeteries... including Essex Farm cemetery (site of the creation of the poem "in Flanders Field" by John McCrae), Bozinghe (tranchees), Langemark (German cemetery), Tyne Cot cemetery (the largest and most impressive Commonwealth military cemetery). You'll also see the center of Ieper.
A "Memory" that will be told by your guide.
It is close to Lille and it is to be discovered.

The Flanders Battlefield Tour Lille-Ieper-Lille will be held every Saturday between February, 16th and December, 20th :
From February 16th to October 25th : from 1.00pm to 06.00pm.
From November 8th to December 20th : from 12.00pm to 5.00pm
No tour on September 6th & 20th and November 1st. 


Departure in front of the Lille Tourist Office (Palais Rihour - Place Rihour).
End at Place de la République.

Price : 45€ / person (40€ upon presentation fo the City Pass).

What could be nicer than to tour the city comfortably seated in a minibus?

Equipped with an audiovisual system in 8 languages (French, English, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Japanese), the City Tour offers views of the city’s main sites and monuments, from its origins to the most modern districts.

Departure from the Square Morrisson .

Every hour, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM from May to October (until 5:00 PM on Syndays), and from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM from November to April.

 Old Lille (English walking tour)

This itinerary allows the discovery of the city's heritage, history and life style through its main sites and monuments. The Palais Rihour, the Vieille Bourse, the Cathedral Notre-Dame de la Treille to arrive at the Ilôt Comtesse, witness of the Flemish past.

 The Town Hall Belfry (in French only)

Completed in 1931 and listed as a World Heritage Site since 2005, the Town Hall Belfry dominates Lille from its height of 104 metres, thus providing the ideal vantage point for admiring the city and its surrounding areas. 

Saturday, Sunday and Thursday (01/11 - 27/12 - 03/01 - 14/02 - 21/02) at 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
Departure from the foot of the belfry. Pre-register at the Lille Tourist Office.

The belfy is not accessible for those with reduced mobility. There are 100 steps to climb before having access to the lift.

Original, quiet and environmentally friendly, the Segway is a new way to get around town. This fun, recreational visit provides the opportunity to discover a new flexible and simple mode of transportation while exploring the eclectic, stunning and fascinating architecture of Lille's different neighbourhoods.
